TED would have been born in Australia before the Callanan Family came to the Rosstown Gold Fields, of South Westland, New Zealand. MICHAEL CALLANAN was born in 1871 in Rosstown, South Westland, New Zealand.   Michael was baptised on 19-9-1871 and his Sponsors for Baptism were Michael Beakney and Mrs Catherine Ryan.
